Hubbell Tower Apartments

First constructed in 1913, the Hubbell Building served as the center for many corporate offices for central Iowa’s building industry, including Hubbell Realty Company. This local significance earned the Hubbell Building a designation on the Nations Register of Historic Place. In 2002, floors 2-10 stood vacant, with a single business occupying the first floor. Hubbell Realty Company chose to convert the former office spaces into affordable, trendy downtown residences and began construction in 2005. Tax credits were obtained through the Iowa Finance Authority. The 600-750 square foot apartments feature contemporary floor plans with unique angles, exposed concrete columns, and expansive windows with great views of the city. Other amenities include a business and fitness center, skywalk access, onsite laundry and a community room equipped with a large screen TV and lounge area.
